MetroGnom
A band from Bodö, one of the many beloved towns in the north of Norway. MetroGnom presents prog rock through a symphonic, rough and retro feeling with a touch of fusion and spacy psychedelia. We started out autumn 2002, and released our now highly appreciated debut album "Twangyluck" in december 2006. While we are in the making of the new album "Duralmon", we will also play some nice concerts this summer, and hopefully complete a tour in europe during this fall. MetroGnom is driven by these fellows: Kriss Stemland (Hammond organ, piano, moogs) Ole Ivar Jörgensen (All guitars,mellotron, theremin, soundeffects ) Arne Wikström (Saxophone, synthesizer woodwinds) Lars Einar Christensen (Bass) Stig-Rune Holien (Drums, percussion) Jakob Arntzen (Sound effects, theremin, mellotron) Jakob joined when we needed someone to do live some of the things we had recorded in studio. He is now a steady, creative member. Every now and then Tomas Kvitvik (from the band "Pulverhund") joins us on stage. Until right after we had recorded "Twangyluck" Steffan Hunstad was the bass player of the band. He moved to Denmark, later to Sweden. Here are only some reviews of MetroGnom: In english: |
